Our Interpreters

Steve is a 32-year-old trained musician who specializes in fife, drum and bugle calls of the 18th and 19th Centuries. A graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy, Steven is also a member of various 18th and 19th Century Fife and Drum Corps.

Kevin Chapman is a 45-year-old living history interpreter that specializes in the United States Colored Troops of the American Civil War. As our events manager Kevin helps to bring your visions to life by aligning our interpreters with your event needs.

Leon, an 80-year-old living history expert from East Orange, NJ, specializes in Revolutionary War, War of 1812, and Civil War reenactments. With over 30 years of experience, he captivates audiences with engaging presentations and deep historical knowledge.

Ettiene brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our team as a Historical Interpretation Specialist. Specializing in the Revolutionary War and Civil War eras, Ettiene captivates audiences with immersive reenactments that breathe life into history.

Nicholas, a 39-year-old Customer Service Manager from Ewing, NJ, brings his military background and enthusiasm to Revolutionary War, 1812, and Civil War reenactments. Proficient in marching, drilling, and firing, Nicholas offers engaging presentations that educate and entertain audiences.

Serving as a Military Policeman and Army reservist in Arlington, VA, Darren brings extensive military knowledge to reenactments spanning from the French and Indian War to World War 1. As a trained Non-Commissioned Officer, Darren commands attention with his detailed and immersive presentations.

Leslie, a 52-year-old School Administrator from Willingboro, NJ, specializes in portraying figures from the 18th to 20th centuries. With a focus on female camp life and herbal medicines, Leslie delivers engaging and educational presentations that offer a unique perspective on history.

Erik holds his BA in Music Education, with a concentration in harpsichord. His teachers include Gwendolyn Toth and Kenneth Hamrick. Originally a percussionist, he studied with Mitch Erwin and Barry Centanni. Erik researches, collects, and performs popular music from America and England during the last quarter of the 18th century.

Eliza holds her BA in art history from Rosemont College with a focus in the socio-economic aspects of fashion in late 18th century America and Europe. She applies her studies to recreate high fashions that started revolutions using the seeming mundane activities such as getting dressed and taking tea to highlight women’s active place in politics.

Erik is a music educator, music theory tutor, and performing musician. His training includes work with the Western Australia Opera Company in Perth, Australia, The Fairfield Orchestra, The Orchestra of the Old Fairfield Academy, and the American Classical Orchestra. He performs regularly on baroque violin in the tri-state area as a member of The Ministers of Apollo ensemble.
